Milk & Cookies is a before and after-school enrichment program that is free to all Harvey Milk Civil Rights Academy students from grades K-5. The program is primarily to provide academic support, homework help, fitness, and enrichment. This is NOT a childcare program, therefore, students who have academic needs are given priority for enrollment. Students who do not act according to the school behavior policies may be excluded. The morning progam begins at 8:00am and the after school program ends at 5:30pm SHARP. Our own staff provides the program and coverage. In addition to homework and tutoring, we provide fun clubs. There will be club activities through the week for K-1st grades. The 2nd - 5th grades will have club activities on Fridays ONLY. Clubs may include science, dance, art, piano, karate, cooking, and other enrichment activities. We encourage parents to donate time and expertise to form a club. We offer this program for free, but we encourage donations and pledges from parents and families who can afford it. |
