Read-A-Thon
Who? Any community member interested in helping out. What? Volunteers are needed to help organize and promote the Read-A-Thon with children, teachers, and parents. Volunteers must go into the classroom at the beginning of the Read-A-Thon to explain the instructions, prizes, and to get the children excited. Finally, volunteers are needed to tally the total reading time of each child, count the donations that were received, and announce the winners at the Winter Peace Assembly. When? The Read-A-Thon is a 2 week commitment at the beginning of December. Where? Throughout the school and from the privacy of your home. Please sign in first in the school office before starting any volunteering. (Volunteer Sign-in Book is located next to the office door). More Information?
